The Steward — Glove Colour: Peccary: Cork, Lining: Beige Silk, Standard Size: Mens 8", Stitching Type: Internal (Inseam), Touchscreen Palms (optional): Black only
It's simple. Life without this was good. But life with this has been great. I just wanted to say. Thank you.
The Steward — Bespoke Size: Add New Measurements, Glove Colour: Deerskin: Brown, Lining: 100% Cashmere, Standard Size: Custom/Bespoke, Touchscreen Palms (optional): No Thanks
This was a timely request on your company's behalf--I had the intention of writing a review of these gloves since they recently began to show some deficiencies. But first, my compliments: the colour and texture of the leather is exactly what I wanted, the stitching and cut pattern are extremely high quality, and the detailing is beautiful.
However, despite the fact that they were made bespoke, the fingers were cut a little too short (though not to the extent that they are unwearable). I decided this wasn't an issue worth writing about when I first received the gloves but since another issue has come up, I thought I should mention it now.
The other issue, which is progressive, is the rate of wear of the cashmere lining. I, of course, understood that the lining would deteriorate over time but after just over a year of limited use, this is quite alarming. I'll send an image under a separate email to illustrate the extent of the wear.
I would like to continue to use these otherwise beautiful gloves but I'm worried that they will wear out much quicker than I expected. I don't see how I could care for them any better to eliminate the problem either. Is this a flaw with this particular pair or are these combined issues reason enough for me to look elsewhere for any future purchases?
